QUALITY POLISHING & PAINT CORRECTION SERVICE

Polishing is a technique that involves the use of a finer abrasive material to remove very fine scratches and swirl marks from the paintwork. The car polish process also helps to enhance the shine and gloss of the paint, giving it a more reflective and lustrous appearance.

Paint polishing, also known as paint correction or enhancement, is the process of removing minor clear coat damage like scratches and swirl marks to restore the paint's gloss and prepare the surface for protective coatings.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

  • Purpose: The primary goal of paint polishing is to enhance the appearance of a vehicle's paint by removing surface imperfections that cause it to look dull or faded.
  • Process: Polishing involves using a polishing liquid (compound) and a polishing pad, either by hand or with a machine, to gently abrade the clear coat.
  • The process aims to remove a very fine layer of clear coat, revealing a smoother, more reflective surface.
  • After polishing, it's recommended to apply a protective coating like wax, sealant, or ceramic coating to seal the paint and enhance its durability.

Benefits:

  • Removes minor scratches and swirl marks.
  • Restores gloss and depth to the paint.
  • Prepares the surface for protective coatings.
  • Can improve the overall appearance and value of a vehicle.

Types of Polishing:

  • Compounding: A more aggressive form of polishing used to remove heavier scratches and defects.
  • Polishing: A less aggressive process used to refine the surface and enhance gloss.
  • Glazing: A very light polishing process used to add shine and fill minor imperfections.
  • Paint Cleaning: A very light polishing process used to remove stubborn dirt and light oxidation.

THE FIRST STEP BEFORE POLISHING!

Prior to polishing, ALL vehicles must be washed.

A chemical bath or surface decontamination of all painted surfaces MUST be done.

A full clay bar treatment is also a must.

This process fully eliminates any hidden debris from your vehicles clear coat to assure “ no pad particle pick up” this eliminates any further damage to the clear coat.
